It is always better to use sharp secateurs so that you can easily prune the bushes. It is required to make a clean cut so that you can protect the bushes from insects and worms. Even choosing a dry breezy day for pruning is more advantageous for the plants as because the breezes can help in healing the recently cut stems. It is also important to make sure that the fruit bushes do not have any ripe fruits as those may invite birds and pests.
